SERVICE NEWS

» #42 NAMPA/MERIDIAN
LIMITED STOP

Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, the route taken by the #42 bus from Downtown Boise to Boise State University will change. Instead of traveling to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center via Jefferson, the bus will stay on Main Street all the way to Broadway. On the return trip, the bus will turn from Broadway on to Idaho. There are stops on Main and Idaho near St. Luke's.
Also, the #42 bus will not turn on to University from Broadway. Instead, the bus will turn right on Beacon, right on Lincoln and right on to University. On its way back to downtown Boise, the bus will travel east on Broadway and turn left on to Broadway.

» #5 EMERALD

A road closure on Liberty Street will affect this route. From Emerald Street, the outbound bus will turn left on Cole Road and right at TJ's Burgers into the Boise Towne Square Mall. On the inbound trip, the bus will travel its regular route until it gets to Allumbaugh. The bus will turn right on Allumbaugh, left on Franklin, left on Curtis and right on Emerald before resuming its regular route.

» STATEHOUSE RENNOVATION

The Statehouse rennovation project has affected three ValleyRide routes - the #9 State Street, the #10 Maple Grove/Hill Road, and the #14 Hyde Park. The buses leaving downtown Boise will turn left on to Capitol Boulevard, left on to Bannock and right on to 8th Street before resuming the regular routes. Passengers who normally wait for the bus on the southeast corner of Capitol and Idaho are encouraged to wait on the northeast corner of 9th and Bannock at the designated zones for the affected routes. These detours will be in place as late as January 2010.
